I got a new computer and when I installed the software, it is telling me it is only a demo. How come? All products ship from here as demos. Once you purchase, you are issued a registration code. This code needs to be typed into the program to unlock the demo.  However, this will not get you your data back.  The procedures for bringing up a new computer to use MAGGEY Deluxe are as follows: For standalone computers: Install the CD, then restore your data from a backup from the old computer. For network workstations: Install the CD, configure your workstation to use the database on the server. Updated networking instructions are here.

It is important to install the latest update, as it will correct most issues with the software since you received your CD, and bring you up to date. You can check for updates online here. Back to Top

Why must I have the latest update? It is important to have the latest update because the questions or problems you have are most likely due to your software not being the latest.  If you are experiencing a problem with your software and you have installed the latest update and the problem is still occurring, then by all means, call or email us! I left a message for support and no one got back to me. How come? If you do call in and leave a message now, please be patient as calls are answered in the order in which they are received. If we are out of the office our phone system will text message us that you have called. Please be sure to include your center name and phone number in you message. I tried calling support and got voicemail. How come? Our support staff tries to answer each call but there are times that they are either on the phone with another user or otherwise unavailable. Please leave a message and your call will be returned as quickly as possible, usually no more than a half hour. Back to Top

What additional modules are available, and can I expand my system? Modules available are WinTime Time Clock, WinTime with Security, WinTime with Fingerprint Verification, and Menus Deluxe for centers that are on the USDA Food Program. Any of our additional modules can be added at any time by calling our sales department. Back to Top

What is a 'run time error'? A run time error is a programming error that didn't get caught in testing or trapped by the built in error-trapping system of your software. If the problem persists, please contact MAGGEY Deluxe's Software's support department and report the error along with the steps to duplicate it. Our support technicians will then be able to offer you a work-around solution until the next update is released. Back to Top

I got 'Run time error 339: SSPRN32.OCX is missing or not registered.' What do I do? Occasionally, on some Windows 98 systems, our printer control will not register properly. To manually register the control on your system, click Start, Run, Type in REGSVR32 SSPRN32.OCX and press enter. If your system responds with a 'succeeded' message, click ok. If you did not get the OK, call technical support for more assistance. Back to Top

What is a run time error '3343: Unrecognized database format'? A runtime error of 3343 when starting MAGGEY Deluxe means a database has become corrupt. The Path and File name will be at the end of the message or if it is a trapped database error you will see a message with the name of the file that is corrupt. There are several different causes for this, some of which are power fluctuations during a data-write procedure, intermittent network problems during a write-procedure, turning off your computer with MAGGEY Deluxe still running, or one of the computers on your network has an issue. These are just a few examples of some of the causes. There are a few ways to correct the issue: Click Start, All Programs, MAGGEY Deluxe, Utilities, Repair Database. Click Select Database, from the list select the database as displayed in the error message, click on the file name and then click open, click YES to Repair. If you get the message Database Repaired successfully click OK and try to open MAGGEY Deluxe or the add on module that gave you the error message. In over 90 percent of the cases, this utility will correct the corruption. The next option is to restore from a backup. If you do not have a backup of your data we can use a utility we have in our office to attempt to repair the database. There is a $75 charge for this service. Is there a charge for networking the program? There is no charge for configuring your software to share the database among all of the computers on your network. Your network should be set up and functioning properly prior to contacting MAGGEY Deluxe Technical Support. Back to Top

I installed the update, and now it is telling me I need to run Update Databases. What is that all about? Update Databases is a utility that we developed to update your databases with the latest MAGGEY Deluxe database format. When it is complete, it may or may not inform you that errors were found. If errors were found, you need to run the utility again until no errors are found. When no errors are found, you will be informed that you can now start MAGGEY. NOTE: Network users: This utility only needs to be run once on one machine on your network ONLY. This utility works on the database, which all machines share. Back to Top

I am on a network. How do I install an update? In most network environments, there are usually two or more computers interconnected. One of those computers is the main computer, or server, which may or may not be used by an employee as a workstation. Use the System Setup option on the MAGGEY CD to add any new system files that came with your update. Back to Top
